RIVERSIDE, Missouri - A big day for dog and cat lovers in the Northland.
A ribbon cutting took place yesterday at the first low cost spay and neuter facility in Riverside.
The Northland Animal Welfare Society raised the money for the clinic to help reduce the number of homeless animals.
"A lot of these people they have puppies and they end up on the street or in shelters or they end by being euthanized,” said Gene Donnelly, with the Northland Animal Welfare Society.
Besides spay and neuter, the clinic also provides other services like micro-chipping.
