KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A summer program called Zoo and You is designed to help more students visit the library to read more books this summer.
The Kansas City Zoo and Kansas City Public Libraries are partners in the program. Every week in June and July the zoo will visit a different library branch in Kansas City and bring an animal for children to come and visit. The zoo animal will hopefully attract more students to come to the library and get a book to read more this summer.
Librarian April Roy said the program has been very successful so far this summer.
"We have had so many children excited to see the animals and we get to read to the children and encourage them to check out a book and read more this summer," said Roy.

The program continues through the last week of July.
