KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A group of Kansas City doctors is getting people outside to walk, even as it gets cooler.
The American Heart Association says walking has the lowest dropout rate of any physical activity.
Also, it is safe – with a doctor's okay – for people with orthopedic ailments, heart conditions and those who are more than 20 percent overweight.
The group walks every second Saturday of the month; 50 people attended the last walk.
The next walking days are October 12, November 9 and December 14. You can walk at your own pace.
The walks start at 9 a.m. and are held at the Blue Valley Recreation Center in Overland Park, Kan.
