Saturday is the last day you can donate perishable goods to needy families as part of Fill the Fridge.
The city-wide food drive for perishables helps countless families, which is why 41 Action News has partnered with Harvesters again this year for Fill the Fridge.
It started on Sept. 2 and Saturday, Sept. 6 is the last day to donate perishable items.
The majority of those served by Harvesters are families with children.
Donations can be bought at the Price Chopper at 1030 West 103rd Street in Kansas City, Mo. on Saturday to ensure the food was never mishandled or allowed to reach an unsafe temperature. There is a refrigerated truck to help keep donations at the proper temperature.
