Jack Stack Barbecue on Plaza briefly evacuated after small fire

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Jack Stack Barbecue restaurant on the Plaza was briefly evacuated on Monday due to a small fire.

At about 12:45 p.m., Kansas City, Mo. firefighters were called out to Jack Stack Barbecue on reports of light smoke from inside the restaurant.

About 50 to 75 restaurant patrons were evacuated and standing along the sidewalk while fire crews searched the building for the source.

Firefighters located a small fire in the wall next to the kitchen.

Fire crews cleared the scene at about 2 p.m. The restaurant plans to reopen at 5 p.m.
