Seventh lawsuit filed after explosion at JJ's Restaurant

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A seventh lawsuit has been filed after the explosion rocked JJ's Restauart in Kansas City, Mo., last February On Friday, Doctor Steve Mingos, whose dentistry office is across the street from where the explosion occurred, filed a lawsuit in the Jackson County Courts.
He claims that both he and his wife are suffering from hearing loss and tinnitus after an explosion caused by a gas line killed one restaurant employee and injured 14.
The lawsuit names defendants Missouri Gas Energy, Time Warner Cable, excavating contractor Heartland Midwest LLC and USIC Location Services Inc.
USIC was responsible for marking the gas line.
According to the lawsuit, an MGE supervisor came to Mingos' dental office after the leak, measured the gas levels and gave Mingos and his wife the "ok" to stay.
