RAYMORE, Missouri - Tickets for the St. Jude Dream Home go on sale April 5, and tickets are only $100.00.
The $600,000 Raymore home is being built by Summit Custom Homes, located in the Creekmoor Subdivison.
The home comes with several amenities, including a safe room. The concrete room has a steel door, a power outlet for light and recharging batteries and a vent to allow in fresh air. The room is based on a design created by FEMA and can handle most of the severe weather that hits the metro area.
"It was absolutely inspired by what's happened in the state last year, said Mike Bromley, ABI Corporation. And we just wanted to offer something to the homeowner if they wanted to take that next step."
April 5 is your chance to buy a $100 ticket for the St. Jude Dream Home. All proceeds benefit the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Many children in the metro go to St. Jude and do not have to pay a penny for their treatment.
This year, 41 Action News and St. Jude will be raffling off 9,500 tickets. Last year, we sold out, so get yours fast!
Those who buy their ticket before May 4, 2012, will also be entered to win a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic courtesy of Molle Chevrolet. It is valued at $17,585 with 40 MPG.
The winner of the dream home will be announced Sunday, June 24.
41 Action News is a proud sponsor of the St. Jude Dream Home.
