KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Nearly 100,000 kids in the Kansas City metropolitan area are unsure if they'll eat tomorrow.
While these kids get meals at school during the school year, in the summer time, they don't. With your help, we can make a difference and help get fresh food to the families who need it right now.
Help 41 Action News Fill the Fridge in our city's only perishables food drive.
Each weekday from Monday, Sept. 2, to Friday, Sept. 6, we'll be at a different Price Chopper location with a refrigerated Harvesters truck. You can come, shop from our Fill the Fridge grocery list, and help feed the hungry in Kansas City. Everyone who donates will be able to pick up a Fill the Fridge insulated shopping bag.
If for any reason you can't come see us and donate in person at one our live locations, you can still contribute. All 49 Price Choppers in the metro will have a sheet at each register allowing you to donate money: $1, $5 or $10. If you want to give more, that's appreciated; just scan the $10 barcode multiple times.
Every dollar counts. Every dollar makes a difference.
