KANSAS CITY, Mo. - There are many different ways people and their families cope with cancer, but have you ever thought about using art?
The Fearless Studio in Kansas City hosts art journaling workshops for cancer patients and their families. Studio owner Victoria Crowder Payne teaches people how to journal their feelings through painting. Payne is a cancer survivor herself. She hosts the classes to give people an outlet, instead of using depression or anger to express their feelings.
There are two classes at the workshop, including Intro to Acrylic Landscape Painting and The Charming Hostess: Wine Charms & Pendants.
The workshop is Saturday, March 30 from 1-4 p.m. It's being held at the M&S Grill on the plaza.
All the proceeds benefit Cancer Action KC.
