KANSAS CITY, Mo. - On Wednesday night, you can get a first look at the new documentary, "Rise and Dream."
It's an inspirational and award winning film produced by the Christian Foundation for Children & Aging. The agency is an international non-profit based in Kansas City.
For the next two weeks, the film is touring the Midwest and the East Coast
The film follows 13 teenagers living in the Philippines.
They accept a challenge to learn their own cultural instruments to perform a concert. The documentary takes the viewer into the rehearsals and into the homes and hearts of the unlikely student band members.
The screening is at the Truman Forum at the Plaza Library. The reception begins at 6:00 p.m. and the screening is at 6:30 p.m.
