KANSAS CITY, Missouri -
400 people put their brains and brawn together to help raise money for Saint Jude Hospital.
The annual Great Urban Race hit the pavement this morning in Kansas City.
Participants, many in costumes, had to solve 12 challenges, including solving puzzles, completing a physical challenge like hoola-hooping and taekwondo and also finding random items at various points throughout the city.
Once they did it, they had to snap a photo, and bring it to the finish line at McFadden’s Restaurant for proof.
The first 25 teams that completed the race will take part in the national championship race in New Orleans for a chance at a $10,000 prize.
