RAYMORE, Missouri - It may not look like much now, but in the next few months you will be able to enter a drawing to win a $500,000 home.
“The ceilings here are 20 feet tall and we are going to have exposed beams,” said Lizzi Hartzell with Summit Custom Homes.
NBC Action News and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital are teaming up for another year of the St. Jude Dream Home. The home is once again located in Raymore in the Creekmoor Subdivision.\
Construction of the home began in October of 2011. For the last few months, workers have been laying the foundation and completing the frame work on the 5 bedroom, 5 baths and 3 car garage.
“Dream Home is one those projects where everyone is eager to help, throw in where they can,” said Hartzell.
The loft overlooks the kitchen, a recreation room with a wet bar, that room includes a projection screen, which could be turned into a movie theater.
Last year the St. Jude Dream Home sold out with 9,000 tickets. This year NBC Action News, Summit Custom Homes & St. Jude Dream Home are selling 9,500 tickets.
The $100 tickets will go on sale in April. The home will be given away during a live broadcast June 24. Stay tuned for more information. Log onto the St. Jude Dream Home website to learn more information.
