KANSAS CITY, Mo - Cr ystle Lampitt moved to Johnson County about 10 years ago from Indonesia. She is a graduate of the University of Kansas and Blue Valley High.
She starts Jan.10 as the new host of KMCI's "38 The Spot."
As the new host, she'll be the station's face doing promotional work on and off camera.
Crystle is taking over for Holly Starr who left this last summer after 3 years at the station.
An open casting call was held for the new host job and hundreds of people applied. Crystle stood out with her great energy and charisma.
KMCI-TV is owned by E.W. Scripps Company along with NBC Affiliate KSHB-TV.
