David Blaine apologizes to fiancee

DAVID BLAINE has publicly apologized to his fiancee after he was caught on camera dancing with another woman at a nightclub.

The illusionist, who proposed to French model Alizee Guinochet in 2009, was spotted getting close to a female reveller on the dance floor at the 46 Lounge venue in New Jersey on Thursday night (17Jan13), prompting speculation his engagement is over.

However, a representative for Blaine has now explained the incident, revealing the couple's relationship has been "on and off" in recent months, but insisting the star is sorry for his indiscretion.

The spokesman tells TMZ.com, "He and his fiancee have been on and off. But nevertheless he regrets his actions and is sorry if he caused her any embarrassment."

Blaine and Guinochet became parents to a daughter in 2011.
