Katy Perry and John Mayer go public at festive show

Rumored couple KATY PERRY and JOHN MAYER attended their first red carpet event together on Wednesday night (12Dec12) at the launch of a festive show in New York.

The pair has reportedly been dating on and off since the summer (12), but they have stayed away from public events.

However, they appeared to confirm rumors of a blossoming romance by walking the red carpet together at a showing of A Christmas Story: The Musical at Manhattan's Lunt-Fontanne Theater.

Perry and Mayer met the festive production's young cast and happily posed for pictures with the show's composers, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.

The I Kissed A Girl hitmaker also posed with a Santa Claus impersonator at the event.
