GLEE star KEVIN MCHALE has posed with his pet dog for a new campaign urging animal lovers to adopt a homeless pooch.
McHale fostered rescue dog Sophie earlier this year (12) and he agreed to be photographed with the Wheaten terrier to promote People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals' (PETA) drive to boost pet adoption.
In the advert, the actor is shown on his knees and hugging Sophie as she stands on her hind legs, alongside the slogan 'Always root for the underdog! Adopt don't buy'.
He says, "All my friends and all the crew members of Glee - they're the biggest advocates of dog adoption, so it was kind of a no-brainer to do it."
