Miley Cyrus: 'Dad knows nothing about wedding plans'

MILEY CYRUS is convinced her singer father Billy Ray purposely makes up rumors about her wedding plans to make his press interviews more interesting, because he "knows nothing" about her nuptials to Australian actor LIAM HEMSWORTH.

Billy Ray Cyrus recently sent the singer/actress' fans into a spin when he revealed the 19 year old wants to host three lavish ceremonies to celebrate becoming Mrs. Liam Hemsworth, but the claims were promptly dismissed by the former Hannah Montana star herself.

During a recent chat with U.S. TV host Ellen DeGeneres, Miley insisted there would be just one set of nuptials in her dream wedding.

She said, "This is the one day when it's what I choose and every detail is things that I love... There is some rumor going around that I'm having like 47 weddings. I'm not. I'm having one wedding... It has to be perfect."

Now Miley admits she has no idea where her dad gets his information from because she hasn't shared any of her plans with the Achy Breaky Heart hitmaker.

She tells U.S. news show Entertainment Tonight, "I don't know what my dad is doing or where my dad is on the planet. My dad knows nothing. I don't know what he is making up... I hate to put him on blast, but he doesn't know what he's talking about.

"He does what I do when he's sitting in a press thing - he's like, 'Let's make this fun. Let's make stuff up. Let's get the ball rolling on some good rumors because I'm bored and I can start something.'"

The Hunger Games hunk Hemsworth proposed to Cyrus in May (12).
