Pop star NICK JONAS has confirmed reports his new song WEDDING BELLS is all about his ex-girlfriend MILEY CYRUS after she went public with her feelings about the tune earlier this month (Oct12).

The pop star and actress, who became engaged to wed Australian actor Liam Hemsworth earlier this year (12), opened up about the odd honor during an appearance on Los Angeles DJ Ryan Seacrest's show on 18 October (12), when the host asked if she thought the tune was about her relationship with Jonas.

She said, "I don't know who else is getting married... so I feel like that's pretty blatant."

But Cyrus insisted she doesn't plan to make a big deal of the drama: "Everyone has to write songs that are about things that they felt... so you can't ever hate on someone for writing about something you've been through. I think that you kind of get a fair warning when you date an artist and someone that's a writer. When you're going through things, you're going to end up hearing about it on the radio."

Appearing on Seacrest's show on Monday (29Oct12), Jonas applauded his "friend" for her take on the song, stating, "I think she put it really well. She's absolutely right... It's all about being open and honest."
