CRAZY TOWN frontman SHIFTY SHELLSHOCK has publicly apologised to family, fans and friends for embarrassing them following his drug arrest and sentencing.

The rocker, real name Seth Binzer, was sentenced to three years probation relating to a drugs arrest in February (12), when he was apprehended at a Los Angeles store after a shop employee spotted him fighting with his girlfriend and called police.

Cops found cocaine on his person and he was charged with drug possession and battery.

He entered a no contest plea to both counts in court on Tuesday (31Jul12).

And now the rocker's publicist has told TMZ.com the arrest was a huge wake-up call.

She says, "Seth has completely changed his life around and has checked into a highly regarded drug and alcohol treatment centre where he will be working with them to restructure his life over the next two years."

And a remorseful Binzer adds, "I would like to sincerely apologise to the parties involved... I feel very bad for those who I have offended and those who have endured this situation."

According to his rep, Shifty has been in drug treatment since April (12).
