SEDALIA, MO. - Larry the Cable Guy is among the performers scheduled to entertain crowds at the Missouri State Fair.
The popular comedian will give his wacky take on life on Friday, August 17, at the Pepsi Grandstand on the fairgrounds in Sedalia.
The shows kick off at 7:30 p.m. August 11 with a concert that will feature both country music and rock.
Montgomery Gentry will sing selections from their newest album, Rebels on the Run.
"Hillbilly Shoes'' and "Where I Come From,'' are among the duo's hits.
The rock part of the show will be handled by by 38 Special.
Other entertainers include Hank Williams Jr. and George Thorogood and The Destroyers on August 18 and oldies shows featuring Paul Revere and the Raiders and Gary Lewis and The Playboys on Tuesday, August 14.
Country fans can enjoy songs from the past on August 15 with Leroy Van Dyke and the Auctioneers, Rex Allen Jr. and other performers.
Racing fans won't be left out.
Lucas Oil MLRA Late Models, ASCS Warrior Region 360 Sprints and Modfieds will tear up the track at the grandstand on August 19.
Hot laps begin at 5:30 p.m. and heat races start at 6 p.m.
Tickets for all the grandstand shows can be ordered online or by phone through Ticketmaster, at the fair box office or by mailing in or faxing in a ticket order form.
Tickets to grandstand shows do not include admission to the fair.
