KANSAS CITY, Missouri - A film festival this weekend celebrates black contributions to the medium.
The Kansas City Urban Film Festival is happening Saturday and Sunday at the Screenland Crossroads, located at 1656 Washington in Kansas City, Missouri.
According to the festival's Facebook page, entries will represent a 'by any means necessary' spirit of both independent and studio film making.
The first screening, "Hell Week," begins at 6 p.m. on Friday night.
