A localized gin company, Two Birds Artisan Spirits, shared their recipe for the perfect libation for summer, the "French 75". Owner Nathan Jonjevic whipped up the drink on this week's "Happy Hour How-To".
Greyling French 75
1.5 oz Greyling Gin
.75 oz Fresh-Squeezed Lemon Juice
.5 oz Simple Syrup
2 oz Dry Sparkling Wine, such as Brut Champagne or Cava
In a cocktail shaker combine gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup with ice. Shake well. Strain into glass. Top with sparkling wine. Garnish with a lemon twist.
