The summer temperatures have arrived in Kansas City. But before you head out in the sun, you need to be armed with knowledge to protect your skin. Dr. Larry Altshuler from Cancer Treatment Centers of America shared the ABC's of skin cancer. Watch the video in the player above to learn what you should look for on your skin.
Dr. Altshuler also shared the do's and don'ts of what to do if you get a sunburn. He says people should use an all-natural aloe vera gel without coloring or dye, and he recommends using oatmeal to moisturize. He says people should avoid thick creams like petroleum jelly, taking hot showers and popping sun blisters.
