OLATHE, Kan. - Twilight fans flocked to Kansas City theaters Thursday night for the special 10 p.m. premiere of the final movie.
Hundreds of fans lined up outside of AMC Studio 30 in Olathe as early as 5 p.m. for Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2.
The highly-anticipated movie starring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner has become a pop-culture icon. The four Twilight movies have made more than $1 billion at the box office.
This final movie is expected to smash even more records. It's projected to have an opening weekend of $168 million.
If this happens, Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2 would have the third-biggest movie opening of all time, just behind Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 and The Avengers.
Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 had an opening weekend of $138 million -- while Twilight: New Moon did slightly better with $142.8 million.
