LEE'S SUMMIT, Missouri - If you don't live under a rock, you know the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton is Friday. Why are we so interested?
"You don't really have the royalty over here. It’s something different for yourselves."
London Cab owner Ray Caraher has been in the U.S. since 1999 and he's not that excited about the upcoming nuptials.
As a Brit, Caraher says the royal family is a part of everyday life.
Another reason the wedding lacks luster-- it’s happening in the shadow of William’s mother.
"As a Brit most if us were tainted by the whole Princess Diana thing so a lot of us aren't really bothered about it as the Americans are."
Caraher does say that Prince William has helped bring the royal family into the 21st century.
