EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo. - It's not just guests who stay at the 125 year old Elms Spa and Resort. Paranormal groups, employees and hotel guests insist ghosts roam the hallways, sit at the hotel tavern and even rest at the lap pool.
"There were little wet footprints going about 4 steps and vanished. It's like someone took a few steps and it was gone," Janet Reed said.
Reed is a paranormalist who stayed at the Elms for three years to study what others reported seeing and hearing, including a giggling little girl that roams the hallways on the third floor.
"I had a friend, they thought I’ve got to tell that mother to take care of that child and they opened the door and there was no one there," Reed said.
On Wednesday night, investigators with the Atlantic paranormal society revealed the findings they've kept secret on the SyFy channel's "Ghost Hunters."
As for the hotel-- they're open to letting you peek around.
“They're open, if you plan well in advance, to letting you come in and actually letting you investigate on your own with one of their staff members and that opens up a whole new world,” Reed said.
The show debunked some reports, but couldn't explain others. Find out what they found here: http://bit.ly/1brRrFx
