Father’s Day at the Nelson
There’s a picnic and music planned Sunday at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. From noon to 3 p.m., enjoy barbecue meats, lots of side dishes and house-made desserts. www.Nelson-Atkins.org
Powell Gardens Father’s Day Concert
Dino O’Dell will perform from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. Admission to the concert is included with admission to the gardens. www.powellgardens.com
Bowling – Sorry, dad. You have to pay, but the kids are free!
Children registered at www.kidsbowlfree.com can bowl for free, up to 2 games per day, all summer long! (Father’s Day included) There are several area locations participating.
Father’s Day Run
The 26th annual Village Shalon Father’s Day Run offers up a 10k and a 5k run/walk. It raises money for Village Shalom’s programs and services for families facing the challenges of Alzheimer’s Disease. http://fathersdayrun.org/
