KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Kansas City eight year-old was surprised at swim practice Wednesday by Ronald McDonald with her own Olympic dream.
Charlotte Hawes will be heading to London as one of ten national finalists in McDonald’s Happy Meal Chefs Contest.
The contest invited families to show how they make mealtime wholesome, healthy, and fun.
She and her mother, Tess Hawes, submitted a comical video showcasing their family around the dinner table.
"It's amazing, I mean once in a lifetime opportunity, especially to go with your daughter and share that with her and the Olympics. It's amazing," exclaimed Tess.
Charlotte will have to wait until the end of July to find out if she is a grand prize winner.
The grand prize is a trip to McDonald’s headquarters to help create a possible new Happy Meal.
