KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Three Kansas City-area chefs took their skills to a downtown kitchen Monday for charity.
The trio, Alex Pope from the Local Pig, Howard Hanna from the Rieger Hotel and Michael Smith from Extra Virgin, had one hour to wow judges in the competition to benefit the Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired.
The fourth-annual competition required the chefs to use a basket of ingredients – including one secret ingredient - in a three-course meal at The Guild in downtown Kansas City.
