Oklahoma Joe's named manliest BBQ joint in the country

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - One of the manliest restaurants in the country is in Kansas City.

Men's Health has named Oklahoma Joe's as the manliest barbecue joint in the country and the manliest restaurant in the Kansas City Area.

The magazine points out that last year, Oklahoma Joe's sold 400,000 pounds of brisket.

Doug Worgul, director of marketing for Oklahoma Joe's, wants to make sure their female customers aren't forgotten.

"We've got as many women customers as we do men, so we're not exactly sure why it's manly," he said. "Maybe because we have such a meat-centric menu and there's fire involved. Maybe that's why."

The restaurant recommends its burnt ends. It is now in the competition to become the overall "manliest restaurant."
