KANSAS CITY, Mo. - What’s more reminiscent of Opening Day than a steaming, juicy brat or a nice, cold brew? Well, two Kansas City businesses have teamed up to create a product that combines two of the best things about baseball season.
Farmland Foods is kicking off the 2013 season with new bratwurst infused with Boulevard Brewing Company’s two most popular brews, Boulevard Pale Ale and Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat Beer.
Beer bratwurst is not conceptually new, but the Boulevard and Farmland team are excited to introduce a brat to the Kansas City market that features a local, craft beer brand.
“We couldn’t imagine a better partnership to serve up new possibilities for summer grilling,” Vice President of Farmland Marketing Brendan Smith said in a news release.
The new beer brats will be free of MSG and packed with natural antioxidants.
The brats will be available at the Boulevard Grills and the new Farmland Grill at Kaufmann Stadium, as well as at local grocers, select bars and restaurants.
