KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Kansas City home once considered blight has been transformed into one of the most energy efficient homes in its neighborhood.

Members of the Ivanhoe Neighborhood Council decided it was time to improve their community one house at a time.

So they teamed up with the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) to renovate the vacant home at 3933 Euclid

Neighbors say its increasing property values.

"Since we started on this house, a landlord has renovated the house next door while we were working on this one and another landlord two doors down is in the process of renovating it,” said Margaret May with the Ivanhoe Neighborhood Council.

The house is for sale. It’s listed for $67,000 dollars.
