KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Three Kansas City homes just got a big makeover.

Bernstein-Rein Advertising teamed up with the nonprofit organization Christmas in October to help give the homes a facelift Friday.

About 100 B-R employees helped with much-needed repairs on three homes in the area of 39th and Wayne streets. They were out doing structural work, electrical upgrades, painting and landscaping work Friday afternoon.

"We said we wanted to impact the community,” said company president Steve Bernstein. “But I think, in turn, we find we impact ourselves even more. When we look back on this day and we look at what we accomplished together, it'll make us feel as individuals really great, and i don't think you can put a value on that."

This year, Bernstein-Rein employees have helped renovate more than 200 homes in Kansas City.
