Car Santa gives vehicles to 20 families at Harrah's Hotel

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - It’s not quite Christmas yet, but Car Santa is already in action.

Terry Franz and his corporation, Cars 4 Christmas, gave cars to 20 families at Harrah’s Hotel Friday morning.

Franz, or Car Santa as he’s more widely-known, says Cars 4 Christmas gives out about 300 cars every year.

Some of the recipients knew they would be getting a car, but others thought they were coming to the hotel just to apply for a car.

Among those surprised was a mother taking care of two children who received a van with a wheelchair lift and a 16-year-old hotel employee who lives with three other people with no car.
