KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Six o’clock in the morning couldn’t come soon enough for hundreds of Black Friday shoppers at Nebraska Furniture Mart.
John McGregor was the first person in line at the furniture superstore in Kansas City, Kan. He got there Wednesday evening. He says it’s his fifth year in a row camping out for Black Friday deals.
“It’s crazy,” McGregor said on 41 Action News Today about 20 minutes before NFM opened its doors at 6 a.m. Friday.
A little while after the crowd of bargain-hungry shoppers rushed into the store, we caught up with William Potter, who said he had been shopping all night.
“I’m finding a lot of good deals,” Potter said, “but I still haven’t found Black Ops 2. That’s something my grandson wants and I’m still looking.”
As he said that, a group of teenagers flashed a copy of the popular video game they had found in the store. Potter shared a laugh with the teens, but they weren’t willing to part ways with the game.
