OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - An Overland Park woman who won a contest from the NBC show "The Biggest Loser," will head to Malibu soon to help slim down.
Kelly Jo Scott sent a 250-word essay and video to the show, which helped her win a month-long trip to "The Biggest Loser camp."
She's already started to lose weight on her own.
"I started on Feb. 3, and since then, I have lost 55 pounds," Scott said. "That was just my own work here and some of the help of 'The Biggest Loser.'"
Scott said the show gave her tools and accountability to keep working. She said she hopes to lose another 20-30 pounds by the end of the year.
Orientation at the camp is Sunday and she begins the program on Monday.
