KANSAS CITY, Mo. - From grandparents to parents—even dogs—having a social media page is the norm in this day and age. But are Facebook pages and Instagram accounts appropriate for newborns?
Pop Sugar’s article on its mommy-oriented page “Lil’ Sugar,” says that although these pages are great for keeping friends and family updated with photos and milestones, it could be too much, too soon.
The article points out these Instagram accounts and Facebook pages are a pleasant alternative to the constant barrage of baby photos on others’ newsfeeds and keep the parents’ personal pages professional.
Either way, the decision is up to the parents. But don’t completely write-off this new trend, keep in mind that social media is ever-present in our society and probably not going away any time soon.
