OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - A 13-year-old lab mix was rescued from a manhole in Overland Park early Friday evening.
The dog, named Buddy, fell inside 11:30 a.m., after the high water washed the cover away. He was pulled out of the storm drain near 140th and Birch Street almost seven hours later.
While Buddy was hungry and very tired, he wasn't seriously injured.

The cooler weather has many people and their pets spending more time indoors. That's why it's important to continue flea and tick treatments so the pest don't make it inside too.
