KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Spay and Neuter Kansas City is offering free spay and neuters on Pit Bulls. The offer runs until Saturday and includes rabies vaccination, municipal pet licensing and a microchip.
Organization leaders say they are focusing on pit bulls because of their bad reputation. They say Pit Bulls are actually loving and loyal dogs.
"Pitt Bulls are unfairly discriminated against,” Michelle Rivera of Spay and Neuter Kansas City said. “It's because of irresponsible pet owners that Pitt Bulls get a bad rap while they're a great breed."
Dog owners are asked to call ahead to make sure their dog qualifies, 816-353-0940.
