KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Rose Brooks Center hosted its annual Cabaret on Sunday. The event marked the 26th year for the fundraising gala, which supports the mission of breaking the cycle of domestic violence so that women and children can live an abuse-free life.

The evening featured a performance by two-time Tony and Emmy award winner Bebe Neuwirth. The star of Broadway favorite “Chicago” brought her show "Stories with Piano" to Kansas City.

“It is an honor to be a part of an evening benefiting Rose Brooks,” Neuwirth said. “The work they do saving lives, and the depth of their compassion -- which extends to the animals that are also at risk -- is profoundly inspiring.”

Mark Clegg served as emcee for the 7th year. He is also a Rose Brooks Center board member.
