KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The co-owner of Schlitterbahn Kansas City says the park’s newest slide will be so extreme, he can’t even give out details.

The four-person Meg-a-Blaster is set to open in 2013. According to co-owner Jeff Henry, it will be the world’s tallest, fastest and most extreme waterslide ever built.

“To ensure the record-holding statistics of this new extreme attraction, we are not going to release final height and scope of the project until we are ready to welcome our first guests,” Henry said in a statement Wednesday announcing the new slide.

But Henry promises to break the current record for height and speed, held by “Insano” at Beack Park in Fortaleza, Brazil. It stands 134.5 feet high and reaches speeds of 65.2 miles per hour.

Henry says Schlitterbahn’s new Meg-a-Blaster slide will be a game-changer in the industry.

“Our greatest challenge will be to find thrill seekers brave enough to ride.”

Schlitterbahn Kansas City opens for the 2013 season on Saturday, May 25, 2013. It is located at 9400 State Ave., in Kansas City, Kan.
