Travel agents are urging students to be careful after nearly two dozen cruise passengers were robbed in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
The 22 passengers with Carnival Cruises were on a guided tour in the jungle when a robber took their passports and money. No one was hurt but travel agents say the incident brings up an important lesson for students
If you're staying in all inclusive hotel stay on that property. Travel agent say that advice applies to Mexico or any other country.
Make two copies of your passport. Keep one at home and put one in your hotel safe
It is legal to drink in Mexico at 18 years old but some hotels have their own rules. Concerned parents should check the resort drinking age ahead of time.
The State Department issued a travel warning for parts of Mexico earlier this month. But some travel agents say Cancun and Riviera Maya ate still safe.
