KANSAS CITY, Mo. - State lottery officials in Kansas and Missouri are looking for some brand new millionaires.

One of eight $1 million winners in Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing was sold in northeast Kansas, and a $1 million winner bought in a store near St. Louis for the Aug. 4 drawing remains unclaimed.

The million dollar winner in Kansas was one of 2,689,631 winners in Wednesday’s Powerball, other than the $337 million ticket sold in Michigan with numbers 6, 27, 46, 51, 56 and 21.

At the Safi BP station in Maryland Heights, Mo., lotto officials are determined to find the Aug. 4 winner.

They put a big sign in the store window to alert everyone, but because the gas station is along Interstate 70, it's very possible the winner is from out of town.
