KANSAS CITY, Mo. - In this week's Angie’s List report, Angie’s helping you organize your garage. The garage is one the most disorganized rooms in the house. It can become a dumping ground for toys, sports equipment, and tools.
But that garage clutter may be costing you more than just space. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.
Professional organizers can help sort, purge, categorize and put items back in a way that makes the most sense for you. Some organizers also sell and install storage products, like storage bins.
“If you don’t have time to get your garage organized yourself it might be worth investing in a professional organizer," says Angie's Lists' Angie Hicks. "You need to talk to the organizer to determine what they can bring to the table and make sure the outcome is going to be something you’re going to be able to live with.”
Before hiring, Angie’s List recommends asking how you’ll be charged. Be prepared to pay by the hour or for the project as a whole. Also make sure to find out about any additional charges for products.
