KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City Health Department has ordered the temporary closure of a Wendy’s restaurant after a failed health inspection. The fast food restaurant fixed the problem and is back open.
According to health department spokesman Jeff Hershberger, the closure was ordered because the walk-in cooler was not working at the Wendy’s at 3803 Truman Road.
In all, the restaurant was cited with 16 violations in the inspection. Eight of them, including the broken cooler, were considered critical.
Other critical violations included improper hand-washing and sanitization practices.
The store reopened Thursday afternoon.
