KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City sports bars are preparing for the crowds as they gear up for two major games: the Border Showdown between KU and Mizzou on Saturday, and then there is Super Bowl Sunday.
The bar at Granfaloon is stocked and ready for the crowds. The owner, Tim Caniglia, told NBC Action News he ordered extra beer, liquor and food.
"I will probably order normally I will order about 20 cases of Red Bull, but I will do 40 cases of Red Bull, something like that,” Caniglia said. “That's a very popular item and as far as other, more popular items, our house vodka. I will be ordering 10 to 15 cases of that."
The staff is excited about the back to back games because that means extra tips for waitress, bartenders and hostesses.
Fans reserved all but one private room here and the owner says his large orders are in.
This isn’t the only bar in town making big preparations. Several bars in the Power and Light District anticipate a good turnout this weekend
