KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Lisa Jones is one happy taxpayer, finally.

The Kansas City woman reported Wednesday that she received her tax refund after complaining to H&R Block, the IRS and Call For Action.

Jones hired tax giant H&R Block to prepare her taxes this year at a cost of $375.  According to documentation provided by the company, Jones was supposed to receive her return on or around Wednesday, Feb. 8.   Call For Action reported on her struggles to receive her money the following Monday.

A day after our report, Jones was thrilled to receive her return.

H & R Block said the delay is “ due to new technology that the IRS has implemented this year.”
