KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Nearly half a million highchairs are being recalled due to the risk of injury, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Children can fall against the pegs on the rear legs of the Chicco Polly highchair, which are intended for tray storage, according to the company’s website .
Chicco is aware of 21 reports of children getting injured.
They were sold at numerous stores and online from January 2005 through this month. Retailers include Babies R Us, Buy Buy Baby and Amazon.com.
If you own the Polly highchair, check the model number and date code located on the back side of the seat close to the footrest. Affected models can be found here: http://tinyurl.com/85gklqy .
