KANSAS CITY, Mo. - It could soon be easier to connect to the internet in Kansas City, even if you're away from home.

Time Warner Cable announced Thursday the launch of WiFiTM, the company’s new Wi-Fi service in the city.

Customers can acces Wi-Fi in different Kansas City locations, like the River Market, Westport and Brookside.

Kansas City Mayor Sly James says the new network is a great way to keep the city connected.

"We know the value of connectivity,” said Mayor James.  “And part of the connectivity that we value is the personal connectivity that we've established."

Time Warner Cable says they will expand their Wi-Fi network to even more Kansas City locations in the next few months.
