KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Money Smart Month kicks off Saturday and runs throughout April.
It's a chance to soak up free financial advice.
"We like madness in March because of basketball but we don't like madness in our personal finances so in April it's Money Smart Month in Kansas City," said Stepp & Rothwell CPA Dan Mathews.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is partnering with several non-profits to put on the month-long event.
It starts with Money Smart Day on March 31 at the American Century Investment offices on the Country Club Plaza.
Classes include: retirement planning, estate planning, student loans and building your credit.
You can even meet with a financial planner for 30 minutes to discuss your personal financial situation.
Make sure to pre-register for all of the workshops. You can find registration information and a calendar of events at: www.MoneySmartKC.Org
